Such a great, thick, heavy, gritty-clean, sound. Awesome as a lead boost and equally awesome as a cleaner rhythm tone for heavier rock sounds like Guns N Roses/Led Zeppelin type "rock." I would buy this pedal again if something happened to it. The Bad Monkey is a pretty good pedal. I already had Danelectro Cool Cat V2 Overdrive and this is quite similar. The Bad Monkey will give you a good deal more overdrive, however. You can use it as a boost pedal and/or tone shaper thanks to the Bass and Treble controls. As with most overdrive pedals, don't expect metal-type distortion.
